Pecking Away

Orioles 4, Blue Jays 1 : Pecking Away – Chris Davis homers & drives in 3 runs, Dylan Bundy pitches into the 7th inning & the Orioles win their 2nd straight as they beat the Blue Jays on the road. Davis homers in the 2nd (#7) off of Aaron Sanchez, he has now homered 40 times in his career against Toronto, the most against any team & his 20 HR’s @ Rogers Centre are the most in any ballpark. Jonathan Villar puts the O’s ahead in the 2nd on an infield single & Bundy would make it stand up. He goes 6 2/3, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits, strikes out 6 & walks 2. He snaps a 4 start losing streak & the bullpen works the next 2 1/3 to wrap it up. Davis also adds a 2-run single in the 9th to add some much needed insurance for Paul Fry, who comes on to close it out. It is the first multi RBI game for Davis since May 10th.
Baltimore has now won 2 in a row & will look to win the series today.
