Astros 23, Orioles 2 : Houston, We Have a Problem – The Astros set a franchise high & MLB season high for runs scored in a game as they launch 6 homers, including 3 by Rookie Yordan Alvarez to destroy the Orioles @ Camden Yards & take the series. Houston gets started early as Alex Bregman hits a 2-run shot (#28) in the 1st, Jose Altuve hits a 2-run shot (#20) & Alvarez drills a solo shot (#15) as the pair goes back to back in a 5-run 2nd. Carlos Correa hits a mammoth 474 foot blast (#16) in the 3rd off of O’s starter Aaron Brooks, then singles home a run & scores on a double by George Springer in a 4-run 5th against Branden Kline. Alvarez drills a Grand Slam (#16) off of reliever Tayler Scott in a 6-run 7th & also adds a 2-run shot (#17) off of OF Steve Wilkerson, who was just mopping up. Alvarez drives in a career high 7 runs. Baltimore has now lost 5 in a row & will look to avoid the sweep today.
