Game 1 : Orioles 3, Red Sox 0 – John Means goes 7 shutout innings, striking out 5 & walking none – he also retires 18 in a row before departing & the bats do the rest. Cedric Mullins goes 2-4 w/ a run scored & Ryan Mountcastle breaks a scoreless tie w/ a double off of the Green Monster in the 6th. Anthony Santander singles home Mullins in the 8th.

Maikel Franco drives in 2 on an infield single in the 4th & Severino scores on an infield single by Anthony Santander. Trey Mancini adds a sacfly in the 7th. J.D. Martinez goes 3-4 w/ an RBI single in the 5th for Boston in the loss.

Cedric Mullins goes 5-5 w/ 3 doubles & 3 runs scored, Trey Mancini, Anthony Santander, Maikel Franco & Austin Hays all drive in 2 runs each in the Baltimore rout. Bruce Zimmerman allows 3 runs on 4 hits in 6 innings, strikes out 5 & walks 1. J.D. Martinez homers (#1) in the 4th for Boston in the loss.
