Something Fishy : The Orioles split the series w/ the pesky Marlins after winning the series in Texas, end their Gulf Coast road trip 3-2.
Game 1 : Orioles 7, Marlins 5 – The Orioles score 3 in the 1st against Marlins starter Nick Neidert, including a a 2-run double by Rio Ruiz to give O’s starter Matt Harvey enough run support to win his first game of the year. He goes 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 8 hits, strikes out 4 & walks none, Trey Mancini & Freddy Galvis homer in the 3rd to add some much needed insurance because the Marlins rally to score 2 in the 5th & 2 in the 6th but the O’s hang on for the win.

Game 2 : Marlins 3, Orioles 0 – Rookie Trevor Rogers pitches a career high 7 innings, allowing just 4 hits & striking out 8, while walking 1 as the Marlins shut out the O’s. Rogers doesn’t allow a runner past 2nd base, in just his 11th Major League start & the Marlins get all their offense in a 3-run 5th as Jesus Aguilar doubles home 2 & scores on a single by Adam Duvall. Rogers also picks up his 3rd career win & lowers his ERA to 1.64 as the Marlins earn the split.
