Socked!! : The O’s drop 3 out 4 against the Red Sox coming off a road trip where they took 4 out of 6 from Oakland & Seattle, finally winning in the finale to avoid the 2nd sweep by Boston @ Camden Yards this season.

Game 1 : Red Sox 6, Orioles 2 – Bobby Dalbec snaps an 0-27 skid w/ a single in the 3rd & drills a 3-run homer in the 4th as the Red Sox give starter Eduardo Rodriguez some run support. The lefty goes 5 innings, allows just 1 run on 7 hits, walks 3 & strikes out 2. Rafael Devers gets on base twice & scores 2 runs, Dalbec scores a run on a double by Marwin Gonzalez in the 9th. Ryan Mountcastle has 3 hits, including a solo homer in the 6th for the O’s in the loss. Matt Harvey is tagged for 4 runs on r hits, in 4 innings of work, he walks 1 & strikes out 3.

Chavis, Christian Vasquez & Bobby Dalbec all drive in 2 runs a piece for Boston in the rout. Zack Lowther is tagged for 7 runs on 7 hits, in just 2 1/3 innings of his first career start. He walks 2 & strikes out 3. Freddy Galvis hits a solo shot in the 2nd, it’s the 9th straight game w/ a HR for Baltimore. Austin Hays drives in 2 on an infield single in the 9th.

Ryan Mountcastle singles home a run in the 1st & doubles home another in the 8th but the Orioles fall to 4-13 at home.

Lopez allows just a run 4 hits, strikes out 5 & doesn’t walk a man, Tanner Scott, Travis Lakins Sr. & Paul Fry work 2 1/3 before Cesar Valdez closes it out. Ryan Mountcastle hits a solo shot in the 2nd & Trey Mancini adds a solo shot in the 6th, then singles home home another insurance run in the 8th, before a sac fly by Freddy Galvis adds another. Baltimore improves to just 5-13 @ home on the season.
