“The team w/ the 2nd best record in all of Baseball is the Baltimore Orioles?” Yup….it’s sure is. Why are people so surprised though? It’s not like this team hasn’t been the butt of everyone’s jokes & been made fun of for most of the last 20+ years. What do you think happens when you continue to stack top draft picks year in & year out? Not to mention having a GM @ the helm who built a Juggernaut in Houston & has brought the same genius to Baltimore in Mike Elias?

These Birds have built a team that continues to learn how to win night in & night out while earning their stripes in the process. This team is full of young talent & has a complete log jam in the farm system, as – Class A Delmarva, AA affiliated Bowie & AAA squad Norfolk are absolutely LOADED w/ young prospects & the pipeline continues flow in abundance. All those years of losing gave this team the much needed injection of youth that it absolutely needed going forward.

This is only the beginning for this young team as they are clearly way ahead of their predicted time frame for the rebuild. Laugh No More, the Orioles are the ones having the last laugh at the moment as they continue to prove all the doubters wrong. Even after winning 83 games last season, they were still disrespected & picked to finish 4th in what is now the best Division in Baseball, The AL East.

There’s still a long way to go but this season continues to look more promising by the week, these Baby Birds definitely have the rest of the league’s attention now & for good reason. Stay tuned, these Orioles are one of the most exciting teams in the league now & there’s no telling where they can go & what they can do!!

Oh yeah……I don’t hear anymore laughing either…..
